As the Health & Wellness Chairperson for Men Aiming Higher, a Maryland based mentoring program for young men, dedicated to education, business networking, health & wellness and community service, I was tasked with coordinating the 5th Annual Free Health Clinic. Our previous health clinic, was not a success due to a very low turnout from attendees, lack of vendor engagement, limited promotion and a bad location. For the 5th Annual Health Clinic, I was able to not only secure over 30 actively, present vendors, who offered flu shots, high blood pressure screenings, HIV testing, personal fitness demonstrations, diabetes awareness and more. I was also able to attract a tremendous turnout of roughly 150 attendees through a highly successful digital marketing campaign and garnered a great sponsorship from local grocery chain, Shoppers Food & Pharmacy and AARP.
